Bringing Pelvic Wellness to You

What We Believe

The current societal standards and expectations for women after giving birth are unrealistic. Delivering a baby is no easy feat, however women are held to the standard of “getting their bodies back.” We cannot stress how important it is for the body to heal postpartum and for mama to retrain all the muscles that underwent changes. Pelvic health concerns are not prioritized enough, whether pre/postpartum or not. We encourage all women to share their stories and experiences and take the time to heal and retrain the core. We pride ourselves in taking a holistic approach when treating our clients. Assessment and treatment of the whole body is pivotal in achieving a successful outcome. We would be more than honored to play a part in your holistic journey to healing.

Dr. Priyanka Nguyen
Co-Founder and Physical Therapist

Hi! I’m Priyanka, and I am a Physical Therapist. I grew up in South Jersey and received my Bachelor’s degree at Rutgers New Brunswick. I continued my education and became a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Rutgers University. I have experience in many settings, but primarily in acute care. My interest for pelvic floor began in PT school, but it was when both of my older sisters had children that I really wanted to pursue pelvic floor PT and women’s health. I recently became certified as a Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist through Pelvienne and completed the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Level I course. My goal and hope is to be able to provide services for women in the comfort of their own homes. Individuals get so busy in their everyday lives, however it is important to make time for wellness. I believe being able to provide one- on-one care for women at their convenience is important. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and trying different cuisines. I especially enjoy trying authentic food in different countries.

Dr. Roopinder Rekhi
Co-Founder and Physical Therapist

What or I should say who inspired me to initially start this business are my friends who came to me with questions and advice both pre and postpartum. I realized, at that moment, there is not nearly enough education and resources out there for women before, during, and after pregnancy. All the physical changes the body endures during pregnancy are not given the attention and care that is needed. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Temple University and obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2013. After a year of working in outpatient, I began my journey as a travel PT working in various settings across the country. In the end, I landed back in New Jersey-once a jersey girl, always a jersey girl! I recently obtained my Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification through Pelvienne and completed the Pelvic Floor Level I with Hermann and Wallace course. I have many years of experience in the physical therapy world and I am confident I can help and guide women in need. My ultimate goal is to provide concierge mobile physical therapy services with a holistic approach, primarily to women pre and postpartum. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, yoga, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a script/referral?

It is not required to have a script or referral, however we highly recommend you have clearance from your obstetrician postpartum.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are a concierge service which means we offer cash based services due to the reason typical insurance companies don’t allow the one- on- one treatment time without restrictions on number of treatment sessions. For example, if you went to a clinic for services, your insurance may only allow a few visits per week for 4-6 weeks during which your therapist may be treating other clients at this time. With our one- on- one services, you have a personalized experience in the comfort of your own home. Payment is due upon service.

What can I expect?

The therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation based on signs and symptoms you present with, and this will be discussed with you. If an internal examination is warranted, you are welcome to have someone present for your comfort. Sheets/covering and towel or paper towels will be requested. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or express feelings. We encourage an open line of communication throughout treatment.

Is pelvic floor therapy right for me?

Pelvic floor therapy is right for anyone who has experienced any symptoms in the pelvic region or core. Please refer to our services and conditions we treat above.  If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for a free 15 minute consultation.
